Nicole, tell about yourself? How did you become a developer? How you describe your development skills and current interests?
Nicole Wolf: I started coding at 14. My big brother inspired me to learn coding. Then he was in university learning coding and this inspired me. He showed me what is possible to do as a Web Developer and also he motivated me to start coding. I've always been very interested in technology. In my 13-14, I created fantasy graphics in Photoshop and also loved to cut videos in Sony Vegas.
My main hobbies are fitness, dancing, coding, motorcycling, traveling and also making videos about my trips.
On Instagram, you describe yourself as a Frontend Developer / UI Designer: tell about your everyday routines? What does your pattern of professional problem solving look like?
Nicole Wolf: Actually I'm more Developer than Designer. 80% of my time I'm coding stuff. But when I design something, then I use Invision Studio! It's a great tool for creating UI concepts and also a great choice for animations.
My approach to problem solving looks like this:
1. Realize the problem.
2. Create an idea to solve the problem. / Create a concept to work around the problem.
3. Code the bugfix.
4. Test it on all devices and with all possibilities. At this step, I also like to ask my colleagues to test the site so that I can see what they do and where they click.
5. If it works then I create a new issue branch and a merge request. If it doesn't work I repeat the steps.
